James E. Linke, of Venice, FL, formerly of St. Joseph, Michigan, died on Saturday, April 19, 2025. A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Venice, FL on May 2, 2025 at 11 am. Mr. Linke is survived by his wife Betty (Whiteley) Linke; son Scott Linke and family of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; son Craig Linke and family of Helena, Montana.
Mr. Linke graduated from Capital University, Columbus, Ohio. He was employed by Merck & Co. for 31 years, and retired in 1996.
He was active in the Lutheran Church throughout his life and volunteered for many years at Mote Marine Laboratory, Sarasota, Florida.
Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Venice, FL.
