Joseph Maurice Lariviere

Joseph Maurice Lariviere, 81, of North Port, Florida, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 27, 2015, as heaven opened their gates and welcomed another angel. Maurice is survived by his loving wife, Ellie; his siblings: Irene, Raney, Roger (Pop) and Bob; his daughters: Dee, Cathy, Lilian and Julie; as well as his many nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maurice loved his church, Our Lady of Lourdes, and served as a Eucharistic minister for several years. He loved to play tennis three times a week and was never short of a good joke and was always prepared to make you laugh or smile. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, though honorably discharged, continued to serve and support the country he loved so much. He will greatly be missed by his wife, daughters, siblings and countless others. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his favorite charities; The Covenant House Paralyzed Vets or The Covenant House – the Children's Hunger Relief Fund. Services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10 AM. A reception will immediately follow for family and friends.
