Linda G. Gorman

Linda G. Gorman, 64, of Venice, FL passed away on December 12, 2013 with her Husband of 35 years, Peter, by her side. ""No matter how well we have prepared, the moment belongs to God."" (Sheldon Kopp) Linda was born January 29, 1949 in Bronx, NY to Sabina and Albert Giarnella. Linda received her B.A. and Masters from the College of Saint Rose. She was a Special Needs teacher and then a successful business owner in Great Barrington, MA. In her last few years in Venice, FL she spent many days in her craft room creating professional works of art. She loved big and gave often. Survivors include her beloved husband, Peter; daughters, Ellen and Jean Marie. She also leaves her mother, Sabina and two sisters, Doris and Evelyn, niece, Jessica and nephew, Anthony. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, December 18, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice. Memorial Donations may be made to the George B. Crane Memorial Center, 81 Linden Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201. The family would appreciate no flowers, but instead donations to furthering the prosperity of wellness and sobriety.
