Martha M. Stanisky

Martha, ""Marti"" Stanisky, 85, of Venice, Florida passed away peacefully on March 16, 2016 at her home in Circle Wood surrounded by family. She was born on July 28, 1930 in Cheswick, PA to the late James and Fannie Skwortz. Marti was preceded in death by her beloved husband, the late Richard J. Stanisky, two sisters and four brothers. She was the kind and gentle mother of Michelle Vanderley with husband, Josh Vanderley, Cheryl Wesley, Richard Stanisky with wife Kimberly Slimick, Janelle Haas with husband Todd Haas, and a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren; Austin Woods, Brian Matisko, Melissa Videla, Christopher and Justin Stanisky, Callahan and MacKenzie Haas. Marti also had five precious great grandchildren. Marti was the owner and proprietor of ""The Treasure Chest"". Her love for jewelry was only surpassed by her love of shoes. She brought joy to all who knew her and touched countless lives with her generosity and grace. She will be missed. Funeral services will be held at Farley Funeral Home located at 265 S. Nokomis Avenue, Venice, Florida. The viewing will be held on Friday, March 18th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. followed by a Memorial Service at the Farley Funeral Home on Saturday, March 19th at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to thank Tidewell Hospice for their care and compassion.
