Pauline Coyle Combs, age 92, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026. A long-time resident of Richmond, Kentucky, she spent her later years enjoying the sun and community of Venice, Florida.

She was the devoted and beloved wife of the late Donald G. Combs, Sr. A loving mother, grandmother, and sister, Pauline’s world revolved around her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman C. and Mary Katherine Coyle; her brother, Charles E. Coyle; her sister, Norma Jean White; and her beloved grandson, Bradley P. Grant.

Her warm spirit and enduring love live on through her children, Cheryl C. Blackerby (Jim), Cathy C. Delaney (David), Carol Combs, and Donald G. Combs, Jr. (Lisa). She also leaves behind a rich legacy through her cherished grandchildren—Melinda G. Arden (Matthew), Evan C. Delaney (Erica), Courtney E. Delaney (Jeff Wheeler), Lauren C. Blackerby (Andrew Guschausky), Nicole Blackerby, Elisabeth G. Combs, and Caroline G. Combs—as well as eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service celebrating Pauline’s life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at The First Christian Church, located at 421 W. Main Street, Richmond, Kentucky. Visitation will take place from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM, with the service immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Pauline’s honor to The American Diabetes Association, Inc. (P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116) or the Earle B. Combs, Sr. Scholarship Fund (c/o Eastern Kentucky University, 521 Lancaster Ave., Richmond, KY 40475)
