Robert J. Mortell

Robert J. Mortell, 76, of Venice, FL and formerly of the Chicago area, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol (née Axelson), son Michael (Nancy), daughter Christine Geiger (Craig), grandchildren Michael Jr., Ashley, John, Christian, great grandson Calvin, brother Richard (Robyn) and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas, mother Alice and brother Thomas (Polly). Robert served proudly in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Hornet CV-12.
