Tyler Ray Youell of Venice, FL passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025 after a long illness.

He was born in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of the late W. Ray Youell and the late Emily (Oteri) Youell. Tyler was a graduate of Belmont High School and attended Northeastern University. He was employed by Verizon for 25 years.

Tyler’s greatest passion was his wife and family. He was known for his creativity and sense of humor. He never failed to keep us laughing or share his latest ideas or creations. Tyler enjoyed music, photography, art, sunsets and the beach.

Tyler is survived by his beloved wife, Anne Marie (Romkey) (Dodge) Youell. He also leaves behind three sisters, Christine Harden and her husband Bob of Ballston Spa, NY, Kathleen McCarthy of Abington, MA and Susan Sherman of Clifton Park, NY. He is also survived by his niece, Susan and Bob Mulloy, nephews, Rob and Barbara Harden, Jason and Lori Harden, Bob and Amy McCarthy, John and Crystal McCarthy, Adam Sherman and many great nieces and nephews. Tyler was predeceased by his nephew, Benjamin Sherman.

There will be a Celebration of Life in Massachusetts in the Summer of 2025 and another one in Venice, Florida in the Fall of 2025.

The family kindly requests donations be made in Tyler’s name to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) or your local Humane Society.
