It is with deep love and remembrance that we announce the passing of Adan M. Hernandez, lovingly known as “El Bronco,” who entered into eternal rest on May 12, 2026. Adan was born on December 31, 1944, in Reynosa to Luis and Maria Hernandez.
Adan was known throughout the Tejano community for his love of music and dancing. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a welcoming spirit, and easily made lifelong friends wherever he went. Adan enjoyed working with his hands, caring for his yard, and fixing just about anything that needed attention. He was seldom idle, and when he did take time to rest, he could often be found outdoors listening to music and enjoying the moment.
Family was deeply important to Adan. He traveled yearly to Houston to spend time with his children and never missed an opportunity to celebrate special occasions with loved ones.
Adan was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Maria Hernandez; his sisters, Anastacia Hernandez, Evangelina Quintanilla, and Rebecca Reyes; and his brother, Luis Hernandez.
He is survived by his brothers, Isaias Hernandez of Mission and Mercedes Hernandez of Wilder. He also leaves behind his beloved children: Adan Jr. and Joanne Hernandez, Butch and Sara Zepeda, Gary and Eva Jordan, Leo and Angelica Balderaz, Eric and Melissa Hernandez, and his stepdaughter, Marisol Trevino. Adan was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him tremendous joy.
A viewing for Adan will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd. in Caldwell. Services are under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. (208) 459-0833
