Juan Anzaldua

Juan C. Anzaldua, age 74, passed away peacefully in the early morning of July 30, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born May 2, 1951, in Robstown, Texas, to Sostines and Elvira Anzaldua.

Juan lived in Texas until 1979, when he met his life-long partner, Yolanda, where they married and made Idaho their home. For many years he worked for Garrett Ranches, then went to work for Gem State Alloy until he was unable to work.

He loved watching game shows, food network, sports, and his favorite Western movies. His favorite thing he loved the most was being surrounded by his grandkids.

Juan was the kind of person who wore his heart on his sleeve and never gave up until his last breath.

Juan is survived by his wife of 46 years, Yolanda; his daughter, Anna Salinas (Jose Lopez) of Caldwell; grandchildren: Jennifer Guzman and Jaime Guzman, both of Washington; Angel Perez and Gabriel Perez, both of Idaho; Jourdan Salinas, Damien Mireles, Nickolas Mireles, Christopher Mireles, and Aaliyah Lopez; all of Caldwell; along with many great grandkids; siblings: Alex, Chavela Anzaldua, and Flora Guana, all of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sostenes; his mother, Elvira; numerous brothers and sisters; his daughter, Norman Guzman; and granddaughter, Cassandra.

A viewing will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 4-6:00 pm, with a rosary from 6-8:00 pm, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell. A graveside service at Juan’s resting place with interment of ashes will take place on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell.

His final words being “Siempre estare contigo” – “I will always be with you.”
