Michael Walter Wood

Michael “Mike” Walter Wood, born August 24, 1970, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, after a long and courageous fight with cancer. He leaves behind a life deeply connected to mine and to our family.

Mike wasn’t just my husband. He was my best friend and my partner in everything. For over 10 years, we stood side by side as co-owners of Requiem Haunted House, building something we were both proud of. It wasn’t always easy, but it was ours, and we did it together. That’s how our whole life was. We figured things out, worked hard, and stayed in it together no matter what.

He worked for Nampa Paving for 25+ years and took pride in showing up and doing the work. That was something you could always count on with Mike.

Together, we built a family that meant everything to us. He is survived by our children, Trinidy and Titus, who will carry pieces of him forward every day. He is also survived by his parents, Charlie and Betty Jo; his brother, Randy (Mila); his nephew, Cache (Oceanna), Emry (Katlynn), two great-nephews Creason and Baker, and one great-niece Harper.

Mike loved playing guitar, snowboarding, and jet skiing. Anything that let him get out and just live in the moment. He was one big kid. That’s how I’ll remember him.

Our life together wasn’t perfect, but it was real, and it was ours. He was a huge part of my story and always will be.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on May 9th, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd., Caldwell, Idaho. Friends and family are welcome to join us. There will also be a live stream for those who can’t attend.
