Travis Dale Fleetwood

The unexpected, heartbreaking passing of the best husband, dad, and grandpa happened this past Thursday, April 23, 2026. Travis Dale Fleetwood, Sr. was born on January 9, 1945, in Nampa, Idaho, and passed away April 23, 2026, at home of natural causes. He had a wonderful life full of love and laughter, triumphs and struggles, but all with family that adored him.

He loved hunting, camping, fishing, and being with his family and grandbabies! He spent years driving truck, building houses, but his most rewarding career was being a fireman in Caldwell for 25 years. And many of those years were as Captain. After he retired in 1991, he enjoyed raising cows and going to the auction.

Travis married his childhood sweetheart, Linda Moffis. They both grew up in Banks, Idaho, and have been married for 62 years. They have three children: Tammy Lynn, Travis Dale Jr., and Tonya Renae. He also has a son-in-law, Sam Cranston, that he loved very much. He was also blessed with five grandchildren: Malissa (husband, Edgar) Michael, McKayla (husband, KC), Brady, and Donovan. He also has 13 great grandchildren that he loved dearly!

He is survived by his wife, Linda; his three children; and his brother, Carlos. He was preceded in death by his parents: Wilma, Ed, and Charles.

Travis was a strong man, with a sensitive heart, a hilarious sense of humor, and he left a lasting impression on everyone he met! He had a full life, even though we weren't ready for him to leave us yet!

A funeral service to honor him and to say goodbye will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd. in Caldwell with a viewing from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. We will also have a reception to visit with friends and family afterwards at the funeral home. Travis wanted to be cremated, and that will be done after the service, so there won't be graveside services. Services are under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. (208) 459-0833
