William Ralph Jackson, 96, of Caldwell, died Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Caldwell, Idaho. Private family services will be at 1:30 PM, Wednesday at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Ralph was born September 21, 1912 in Searcy County, Arkansas to William Franklin and Estelle (Clayton) Jackson, their first son. Ralph was raised and educated in Searcy County. He worked hard on the family farm as a young man.
He met Mary Elizabeth Brown at church and married her on May 6, 1933. They were married for 62 years until her death on April 10, 1995.
Ralph considered his greatest accomplishment was his family. As parents they were our role models and taught by example, common sense and unwavering love.
He loved to read, he loved all sports, especially baseball, roses, his grand and great grandchildren and having all his family on Sunday for dinner.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two brothers, his wife, Mary, three sons, Leon, Ronnie and Danny, three daughters, LaNell, Betty and Ineta. He is survived by two daughters, Judith Carlson and Susie (Mark) Page, his sister Dean (Fred) Kitts of Knoxville, TN; one son-in-law Vern Cornelison, three daughters-in-law Danielle, Linda and Sandy, 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
