Patti Kay Price

November 14, 1952 — September 16, 2025

Patti Kay Holloran Price, 72, of Adrian, Oregon passed away in her home, surrounded by family members. After being a 20-year breast cancer survivor, she courageously fought a second battle for the past four years against an aggressive, incurable breast cancer.

Patti was born on November 14, 1952 in LaGrande, Oregon to Michael Holloran and Elizabeth Jackson Holloran. She was the second of three children, with her brother Ed as the oldest and her sister Peggy as the youngest, and she spent her early childhood in Wallowa, Oregon. Patti went to Mrs.Pullen’s Kindergarten and then started first grade at Wallowa Elementary. After that, they moved to the family’s logging mill in the mountains of Camptonville, California. She loved going to the two-room schoolhouse, Camptonville Union Elementary, where she attended from 2nd grade through 7th grade. In Patti’s 8th grade year her family moved back to the logging industry in Wallowa, Oregon where she would finish her schooling. She was involved in many clubs, was a cheerleader, in the pep club, ran track, and played volleyball. She learned to cook and sew in 4-H and FHA, which turned into lifelong passions for her. She graduated from Wallowa High School in 1970 and headed off to Eastern Oregon College in LaGrande. She was a cheerleader while she was pursuing her elementary teaching degree. It was here at EOC where she met the love of her life and husband of 53 years, Rod Price. Rod and Patti were married in Wallowa, Oregon in 1972. They transferred to Oregon State University their junior and senior years where Patti graduated with a Bachelors in Education Degree in 1974.

Rod and Patti moved to the Price’s family farm in 1974 where they still live. Patti taught Kindergarten at Adrian Elementary and later was a substitute teacher. Beyond her role as a homemaker, Patti was also active on the family farm and their seed business not only as the bookkeeper but was willing to do any task if asked. In 1976 they welcomed their daughter, Kelsey.

Patti’s life was centered around faith, family, and friendship. She was a long-time member first of the Adrian Presbyterian Church and later Mountain View Church of the Nazarene in Homedale, Idaho. Her kindness and welcoming nature touched many. She was involved in bible studies, teaching Sunday school, youth group, VBS, and Pioneer Club. She took immaculate care of her yard and was a long-time member of the Owyhee Garden Club. She was a devoted Gram to her granddaughters, Mesa and Mylie. She spent a lot of time with them and supported them in all of their endeavors. She loved anything chocolate, sewing, baseball, dancing, cheering on OSU, and card games.

Though the last few years of her life were challenging, she faced them with the same grace, joy, and optimism that defined her throughout her journey. Her courage and faith never wavered, and she continued to be an inspiration to all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her father Michael Holloran, mother Elizabeth (Betty) King, and step-father Merrill King. She is survived by her beloved husband Rod of Adrian, daughter Kelsey Price Zimmerman of Adrian, granddaughter Mesa Ivey (Owen) and great-grandson Wylee Ivey of Council, Idaho, granddaughter Mylie Zimmerman of Adrian, her siblings Ed Holloran (Jackie), Redmond, Oregon, Peggy Holloran Weishaar (Guy), La Grande, Oregon, her in-laws Sherri & Mike Pedersen McCall, Idaho, Larry & Kathy Price of Adrian, Oregon, and numerous nieces and nephews along with great nieces and great- nephews, all of whom she dearly loved.

Patti will be remembered for her endless love for her family, her warmth, and the kindness she brought to everyone she met. Her legacy is one of faith, service, love, and a life-well lived.

Memorial services will be at Mountain View Church of the Nazarene in Wilder, Idaho at 10:30 a.m. with a viewing at 9:30 a.m.  Lunch will be provided at the church following the service.
