Bruce Bennett Vaughn II
Dec 24, 1980 — Jul 9, 2026
Bruce Bennett Vaughn II, 45, of Wesley Chapel, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, July 9, 2026, with his loving wife courageously by his side.
Born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1980, Bruce was the son of Bruce B. Vaughn and Linda (Griffith) Vaughn.
Bruce was truly a master of many trades. Throughout his career, he worked in commercial painting inside industrial tanks, built horse farms, and most recently was employed by K & R Concrete Pumping. He also had the unique opportunity to train several Thoroughbred horses whose bloodlines traced directly to descendants of the legendary racehorse Secretariat.
Following the passing of his father, Bruce fulfilled one of his father's lifelong dreams by building a barn on his parents' property. It was a labor of love and a lasting tribute to the man who inspired him.
Bruce was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. When he wasn't working, he loved spending time outdoors boating, fishing, hunting, and enjoying nature. Above all else, Bruce cherished the time he spent with his family. Some of his happiest moments were riding mini bikes and trail riding with his children, creating memories they will carry with them forever.
Bruce leaves behind his beloved wife, April Vaughn of Wesley Chapel; his five children, Alexander (Alyssa) of New Jersey, Nevaeh, Isabella, Jasmine, and William, all of Wesley Chapel; his mother, Linda Vaughn of Wesley Chapel; his sister, Brandy Lambert of Alabama; his niece, Taylor Lambert; and his cherished canine companions, Alley, Baby, and Destiny.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce B. Vaughn, and his beloved dogs, Anegus and Minnie.
Honoring Bruce's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date as plans are finalized.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Florida Mortuary Funeral & Cremation Services, Tampa, Florida.
