It is with great sadness that the family of Diane "DIDI" Baur Dyal announces her passing, after a battle with Alzheimer's, on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the age of 71.
Diane was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on May 16, 1947. She graduated from Plains High School in 1965. She was a founding member and former President of the Tampa Chapter of the Women in the Wind, and also a longtime member of the Tampa Bay Beach Boppers. She loved to dance and traveled all over with the TBBB. She was retired from URS Greiner.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Lavelle Baur; father, Thomas Francis Baur Sr.; and sister, Kathleen Baur. She is survived by, and will forever be remembered by, her devoted husband and love of her life, James "Jimmy" Dyal; by her brother, Thomas Baur Jr.; her sister, Patricia Mira (Roy); her niece, Candice Baur Fleary (Danny); her great-nephew, Prince Fleary; great-nieces, Daniella and Penny Fleary; her step-daughter, Heather Dyal; her step-son Benjamin "Ben" Dyal (Devyn); her step-granddaughter, Cali Dyal; her step-grandson, Gavyn Duval; and her sister-in-law Barbara Moats (Neil). Diane loved animals, and her dogs Sadie and Romah will miss her immensely. She also leaves behind many close friends whom she considered like family. Diane will be forever remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her. She was an unforgettable soul, a smiling face, and had the most loving heart.
A funeral service will not be held, however a celebration of her life will follow.
