MORRIS, Gale Louise, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 following surgery and complications at the age of 73. Gale Louise was born on January 24, 1943 in Bremerton, Washington to Benjamin Franklin Morris and Helen Louise Morris. She was big sister to two brothers Benjamin Franklin Morris Jr., and Daniel Thomas Morris. As with most U.S. Navy families the family would pick up and relocate almost every two years. In 1958 the family moved to Honolulu, Hawaii where Gale was in Jr. High School, she would fall in love with Hawaii on this trip and would return as an adult in 1966 and start her career in the banking business, starting with family finance, Hawaii Thrift and Loan, Bank of Hawaii and first Hawaiian Bank. In 1984 Gale moved to Tampa, Florida and worked for the Bank of America where she retired in 2010. Gale was very active in the Daughters of the Nile and served as Queen of Elim Temple No. 76 in 2003 in Tampa. Gale is survived by her brothers, Benjamin Franklin Morris Jr. and sister in law Valerie Lynell Morris of Discovery Bay, Ca. and Daniel Thomas Morris of Tampa, Fl.; nephew, Benjamin Franklin Morris III of Costa Rica; niece, Tamara Shawn Pallott and husband Brandon David Pallott, and great nieces and nephews, Connor Brandon Pallott, Caden Benjamin Pallott, and Ashlyn Michele Pallott. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Daughters of the Nile Elim Temple No. 76, 5210 Bayshore Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children Tampa Unit. Gale’s ashes will be taken to Hawaii a place she loved so dearly.
