Rose Marie Boyd
October 7, 1958 — May 20, 2026
Rose Boyd, age 67, of Panama City Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
Rose is survived by her children: Mysti and Michael Moseley, Megan Hanes (Chris), Jessica and Joseph. She is also survived by her siblings Sharon Hackworth and Doug Bullock (Gina), as well as her grandchildren: Byron Weatherford, Cortlin Jackson, Jacob and Waylon, Caroline and Harper Hanes, Brody (Audrey) and Brandon Evans (Hannah Butler), Bayleigh Smith (Ethan), along with many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Alan, and her brothers, Ricky and Jimmy.
Rose dedicated many years of service to The Fitts Agency, where she was valued for her charismatic nature and her ability to make everyone feel seen and appreciated. Outside of work, she was greatly involved with her family and friends, always ready to lend a listening ear and tell it like it is, a fierce protector of those she held close. She enjoyed the beach life with her Bid-a-Wee friends, Alabama football, her Boxer pups and most recently, her puppy Peanut.
Rose’s generosity touched countless lives. Whether sponsoring children on the local Little League team or making certain every child in her granddaughter’s class could enjoy a snow cone, she never wanted anyone to feel left out because of financial hardship.
She will be remembered for her charisma, loyalty to her friends and family and her biscuits and gravy. She was a devoted wife, a chef of all chefs, the life of the party and a friend who felt like family - never meeting a stranger.
Rest in peace, Bubba/Mom/Granny/Rose. You are greatly missed, and your legacy of caring deeply for others is remembered as much as your ability to make life feel warmer and lighter.
Reflecting Rose’s warm and welcoming nature, family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of her life on Saturday, June 20, 2026 anytime between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm at Roll Call, atop The Alamite Hotel, located at 2321 Gary Fitts Street, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.
