Catherine Webb Egerer

Catherine Webb Egerer passed away April 28, 2022, in Lacey, Washington, her home shared with her daughter for the past three years. She was born June 7, 1928 to Percival Nicholls and Winifred Curran in Detroit, Michigan. Catherine and husband, Richard Egerer, lived in Michigan but retired to Naples, Florida and later moved to Gulfport, Mississippi. She was resilient and after enduring the loss of her husband, four months later went through Hurricane Katrina in Gulfport alone with her beloved pets. Shortly thereafter, she moved back to Michigan to be closer to family. Catherine loved animals especially her rescue cats, Runtie, Orange Blossom, and Baby, and her dog, Angel. She loved doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, eating out, and trips to casinos. A friendly outgoing person, she never met a stranger. She is survived by her sons, David of Deming, New Mexico, and Matthew of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; daughters, Kathleen of Canton, Michigan, and Jodie of Lacey; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Ann of Garden City, Michigan.
