Thelma Ang

Thelma Ang, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, at the age of 82.

Born on October 5, 1943, in the beautiful town of Carigara, Leyte, Philippines, Thelma carried the warmth, strength, and vibrant spirit of her hometown with her throughout her life. She was a woman of profound grace, dedication, and deep love for her family. Thelma’s greatest joy and proudest achievement was her family. Her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will live on through the generations of her family, who all meant the world to her.

She is survived by her loving children: her daughter, Bernice; and the children she shared with Ernie: Ferdinand and his wife Tracie, Imelda and her husband Michael, Elizabeth and her husband James, and Irene and her husband Bo.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Matthew (Jessie), Marissa, Michael (Anna), Anthony (Tammy), Giselle (Tristan), Isabella, Miranda, Abigail, Zoey, Avery, Camille, and April; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Anthony Junior, Isaiah and Hazel.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernest "Ernie" Heart Ong, who passed away on February 16, 2026.

Her family and friends will forever remember her unwavering support, her gentle spirit, and the beautiful memories she created with those she loved. She will be deeply missed by all the family and friends whose lives were touched by her love and presence.

A church service to celebrate Thelma's life will be held on July 20th at 11:00 AM at: Sacred Heart Church 812 Bowker St. SE Lacey, WA 98503
