Harold L. Hull, 86, a resident of Olympia for 40 years, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at St. Peter Hospital.
He was born September 7, 1918 in Yakima, Washington to Harold L. and Hazel (Hayden) Hull.
He married Yvonne LaBree on January 19, 1937 in Oakland, California. She preceded him in death January 1999.
He was the Superintendent of Mt. Adams Orchards, the world's largest pear orchard. He was an assistant director of Agriculture for the State of Washington and was also a contractor.
Harold was a gardener who was "outstanding in his field". He liked to sing, recite poems and was known for his corny sense of humor. He loved being with his family more than anything. Harold was a member of the Elks Lodge.
He is survived by a son, Roger (Cheryl) Hull of Rochester; a daughter, Madelin (Mark) White of Lacey; Grandchildren, Mike Aromin, Tyson Kolb, Brad Hull and Kim Cox and five Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Hull.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Boy Scouts of America.
There will be a visitation Friday, April 15 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Olympia.
