Steven F. Lyons

Steven F. Lyons, 68, passed away June 11, 2017 in Olympia, WA, his home of 30 years. He was born April 14, 1949 to Forrest and Marie Lyons in Aberdeen, WA. He attended St. Mary School and Miller Junior High, and graduated from Aberdeen’s Weatherwax High School in 1967. He had begun attending Grays Harbor Community College when he was drafted into the U.S. Army. He served from 1967 to 1971 during the Vietnam War. Steve married Yvonne Daffler on November 6, 1971 in Hoquiam, WA; they divorced in 1983. Steve loved hunting, fishing, crabbing and clam digging. He will be remembered as a great father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his sons, Chris Lyons of Lacey, WA, and Matthew Lyons of Shoreline, WA; daughter, Stephanie Lyons of Olympia; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and brothers, Allen Lyons of Salem, OR, and Forrest “Skeet” Lyons of Independence, OR.
