Troy Kenneth Dodd
Feb 28, 1964 — May 4, 2024
Troy Kenneth Dodd (lovingly known as “TK” or “Dodd”) passed away and went to be with Jesus on May 4, 2024, at Blake Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. Dodd was born on February 28, 1964, in Highland, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Billy and Alice (Jensen) Dodd, as well as his brothers Anthony and Jeffrey Dodd.
Dodd was joyfully married to Lori (Schumaker) Dodd and is survived by her and her four children: Christopher (Johanna), Cameron (Chalee), Caleb (Victoria), and Alexi; as well as their five grandchildren: Asa Matthew, Britton Max, Oliver James, Adalia Grace, and Brier Kenneth. Dodd is also survived by his “bonus mother” Linda (Ga) Jandik, as well as many nieces and a nephew.
Dodd was one of the most caring and kind men you could ever meet and made an impact on each life and community that he touched. He was very involved in his local motorcycle club (West Coast Florida Riders) and has made a wonderful impact on his community serving as a dedicated and loving teacher at Title 1 schools in the Manatee County School District for the past 25 years.
More details about Dodd’s celebration of life, which will be taking place this summer, are to come.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that in honor of Dodd’s love for dogs, all loving contributions be made to:
