Allen N. Skeen Mr. Skeen, 72, died on February 25, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was born in Charleston, WV on March 15, 1938 to the late Gordon and Doris Skeen. He was a strong Christian who loved God and his family. Mr. Skeen retired from Duke Power as a Supervisor and OSHA inspector. He was a member of Victory Hills Baptist Church in Dallas, NC. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Skeen and a sister, Delphie Skeen Fleck. Mr. Skeen is survived by his wife of fifty years, Dorothy Dooley Skeen; daughter, Debora Young and her husband, Ricky, son, Vergil Skeen and his wife, Rebecca, daughter, Elizabeth Stokes and her husband, Rick, and daughter, Julie Dills and her partner, James Eller; brothers, Marvin Skeen, Aaron Skeen, Max Skeen and Phillip Skeen; sister, Karen Davis; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and special members five brothers and five sisters. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Victory Hills Baptist Church, 2300 Philadelphia Church Rd. Dallas, NC 28034. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Gardens, Mount Holly, NC. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday for two hours prior to the service.
