George Arthur Breitling

George Arthur Breitling, age 77, of Charlotte passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019. He was born in Richland County, SC to the late George Thaddeus Breitling and Elizabeth Francis Townsend Breitling. George was a salesman in the textile industry. He was a beloved brother, friend, avid cyclist and conversationalist. As a music lover, he attended Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte where he took music lessons. He is survived by his half-brother William Brockington, special friends Alyssa Romine, Matthew and Jenny Orso, and Sherry Proffitt. A memorial service is to be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Hankins & Whittington Chapel, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203. Memorials in George’s memory may be made to the donor’s choice.
