Gloria Faulkner Brown

Gloria Faulkner Brown age 86 passed away Sunday November 11th 2018. Gloria was predeceased in death by her husband of 61 years, Bobby Brown, and their son Steven Brown. Gloria is survived by her daughter Sandy Griffin (Stan) of Locust NC, granddaughter Jessica Griffin (Matt), great granddaughters Emma and Erin Crawley of Chesterfield SC, grandson Jeremy Griffin (Donita), great grandson Austin Griffin of Locust NC and her brother Pat Faulkner (Zara) of New Bern NC. Gloria was a retiree of Sears where she enjoyed working around people and developed many lasting friendships. Gloria enjoyed cooking out with her family and watching her great grandchildren grow. She also enjoyed reading, watching movies, and art projects. The family would like to send a special thank you to her care givers, Katie and Regina, and to Hospice of Stanly County. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 16, 2018 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203 with the receiving of friends from 1:00-2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Elmwood City Cemetery, 700 W. 6th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.
