Janine L. Woodell

Janine Woodell (MaMere, Mimi), 92 of Charlotte joined her heavenly family from her residence. She was born July 7, 1926 in Paris, France. Janine married Joe Woodell in 1947 and they moved to Charlotte in 1953. Janine was proud to become an American Citizen in May, 1958. She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1953. Janine's greatest joy was her family. Each one will remember her wonderful "Friday night dinners served with home made baguettes". She was one of the strongest women we had the privilege to know and love, always giving. She always said "Time is the greatest gift you can give". In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joe Woodell and son-in-law, Frank Bowers. Survivors include her sister, Monique and her husband Michele; daughters, Carol Neugebauer and husband Butch, Sissy Bowers, and Kathy Taylor; Grandchildren Christy Webb (Chris), Brittany Bowers, Kim Larsen (David), Kara DuVall (Greg), Michelle Andersen (Tom); Great-grandchildren Alex and Morgan Larsen, Ella Webb and Hayes DuVall. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to a charity of donor's choice. Funeral and reception to be announced at a later date.
