Joan Hickenbotham Bihn died on April 9, 2020, at age 76 following a stroke.
Joan is survived by her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Herald and Lyla Hickenbotham, her sister Kathleen McCreary, and her husband Mark Bihn.
Joan was born in Illinois on March 29, 1944, and grew up in California. A member of the first four-year class of women at Santa Clara University, she married Mark Bihn in 1965 and graduated in 1966. As an adult, she lived in California and Hawaii and travelled passionately. A fiercely independent woman, she had a free spirit and powerful sense of adventure.
The family will celebrate her life at a later date, when gatherings are possible.
