Kenneth Bascom Richmond, Sr.

Kenneth Bascom Richmond, Sr., age 80, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019. He was born October 12, 1939 in Loudon, Tennessee to John D. Richmond and Juanita Dolly Jane Lowe Richmond. Kenneth graduated from Belmont High School in Belmont, NC. He retired after of 40 years of service with the Pneumafil Corp. as a foreman in the welding department. He loved Nascar, Carolina Panthers, the beach and watching old western movies. He loved his grand and great grandchildren with all his heart. In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Richmond, Jr., his brothers John Richmond, Jr., Wallace Richmond, James Richmond, Jack Richmond; his sisters Evelyn Richmond Wilson and Christine Richmond Perkins. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 60 years Bonnie Griffin Richmond, his daughter Rhonda (Dennis) Witmore, grandchildren Terra Reilly, Erin Witmore and great grandchildren Christian Reilly, Olivia Reilly, Jackson Reilly, Caleb Brim and Ayden Brim, numberous nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends and family from 12:00 to 1:00 pm Friday, December 27, 2019 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203 with the funeral service at 1:00 pm the chapel at Hankins & Whittington with Reverend Tim Webster officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.
