Lucille Skipper Suggs

Lucille Skipper Suggs, 85, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away February 5, 2020. Born October 21, 1934 in Loris South Carolina, she was the daughter of Volley and Theodocia Blanton Skipper. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Charlotte N. C. Lucille retired after 25 years of serving at Presbyterian Hospital. Lucille loved gardening, socializing, and traveling with her Sunday school church group. Above all, she loved God and her family. Her voice and conversation lit up the room and always left loved ones laughing. Lucille is survived by her children: Harrell and Darrell Hoyt Suggs and his wife, Laura; grandchildren, Joshua, Christian and Anna Suggs; and many loving friends and family members. In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Lou Causey and Hazel Prevatte. The family will receive friends at 11:00AM with a funeral ceremony to be held at 12:00PM Monday, February 10, 2020 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, Charlotte, NC, 28203.
