Mclain Hall
Jan 28, 1927 — Jan 10, 2019
McLain Hall was born January 28, 1927, in Falcon, NC. He worked on the family cotton farm until serving in the army during World War II. A graduate of Furman University and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, he was a long time resident of Charlotte, NC, working in international real estate.
He will always be remembered for his immense love of living...from his passion for the Carolina mountains, to the opera, the theatre; his quick wit and joyous personality. An accomplished sales professional who showed his properties by air, land, and sea...from mountain trail breakers, to the trusty green jeep, as well as his Helio Courier plane.
McLain is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his daughters, Gayla (Tony) Tyson, Cecelia (Steve) Martucci, Sylvia (Danny) Anders, Kimela (Scott) Caines and Donna Stewart.
Our family will miss him. Rest well, our sweet, gentle soul.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 14, 2019 from 5:30-7:30 pm at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at St. John’s Baptist Church, 300 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in McLain’s name may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 401 Harrison Oaks Blvd., Suite 200, Cary, NC 27513 or www.lls.org/north-carolina.
