Mimi Levine, age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2019 at her home in Matthews, NC.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Sam Kessler and Rae Kolbert Kessler. She was born in New York, NY.
Mimi was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and homemaker.
Mimi married the love her life, Morton Irwin Levine, on Sunday, April 23, 1950 and they shared 68 happily married years together until his passing on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the age of 94.
Mimi is lovingly remembered and survived by her four children, Steven Levine and his wife Sally of Raleigh, NC; Deborah S. Rhodes of Matthews, NC; Ellen I. Levine of Matthews, NC; and Betty A. Levine and her husband Alan Neustadtl of Bethesda, Maryland; her eight grandchildren, Jeff Levine, Michelle Propfe and her husband Brian; Erika Rhodes and her partner Nate Vail; Ben Levine and his wife Beth Anne; Meryl Levine; Sarah Labiner and her partner Alex Vearey-Roberts; Hannah Labiner; and Aiden Neustadtl; her three great-grandchildren, Addison Propfe, Tyler Propfe, and Harrison Levine. Mimi is also survived by her brother Steven Kessler and his wife Martha of Tucson, Arizona.
Mimi will join her beloved husband at Mount Hebron Cemetery, 130-04 Horace Harding Highway, Flushing, (Queens County), New York 11367 on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 1:00PM in a Graveside service with Rabbi Paul Kerbel officiating. Services in New York are under the kind guidance of Sinai Chapels, Fresh Meadows, NY.
