Nancy M. Johnson

Nancy Meacham Johnson, a long-term resident of the Gaston County area, passed away on Friday the July 6, 2018 at Robin Johnson House at the age of 77, with her loving husband by her side. From her birth in Charlotte, NC to her death, she nourished people around her with love, faith, and music. She was born on September 27, 1940, to the late Charles Rayford and Doris Meacham. Nancy was a 1958 graduate of East Mecklenburg High School. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Wayne Johnson; son, David Dove, and wife, Jean Dove, daughter, Nanette Dove Featherstone, and her husband, David Featherstone; her grandchildren, David Featherstone, Jr., and spouse, Brandon Charlesworth, Coleman Dove, and his spouse, Taylor Dove, Matthew Dove, Andrew Dove, Jacob Featherstone, and Tara Johnson; brothers, Charles Meacham Jr. and Rick Meacham, and spouse Sandy and sister, Marilyn Meacham Price, and beloved dog Queenie. Family, friends, and others whose lives Nancy touched are invited to the Hankins and Whittington Funeral Home, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203, from 6-8 pm on Monday, July 9, 2018. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Ebenezer ARP Church Cemetery, on Old Pineville Road, Charlotte.
