Vistula Meredith Cash

V. Meredith Cash, 95, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2018. She was born in South Carolina on September 13, 1923 to Charles and Vistula Chesney Cash. Meredith grew up in Charlotte, NC and graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC achieving her AB Degree. She went on to a career teaching grades elementary to college in the Montgomery County School System of Maryland. She retired from her teaching career in 1979. After retirement, Meredith split her time between Washington, DC and Sun City Center, FL and she enjoyed traveling abroad, creating pottery, painting and visiting art galleries in NYC. Meredith moved back to Charlotte in 2005 and enjoyed her life at Southminster, making new friends and taking advantage of the many wonderful activities. Meredith was preceded in death by her father and mother and her brothers William & David. She is survived by her nieces, Susan Cash Geller (Ron) of Hilton Head, SC and Joan Cash Wilkinson of Raleigh, NC and by her great nephew Mitchell Wilkinson and great niece Jena Wilkinson both of Raleigh, NC. A special thanks goes to the staff of Southminster and Hospice Care for the excellent service they provided Meredith.
