Beverly Beck

Beverly Ann Beck, 79, of Salinas, passed away at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, Saturday, September 20, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. Beveryly was born January 10, 1929 in Waterloo, Iowa to Effie and Edward Morkel. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband of 52 years, Arlan. Early in her life, Beverly moved to Salinas where she met and married her husband, Arlan. Beverly was a homemaker and busy mom raising three sons. She enjoyed ceramics and other arts and crafts and especially enjoyed decorating for the holidays. One of her big enjoyments was baking and sharing her goodies with friends and neighbors. She was an avid reader and always enjoyed a good mystery. Her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all. She is survived by her three sons; Ed, Chuck, and Andy, daughter-in-law, Kellie, grandchildren; Mallory, Jessica and Garrett. The family would like to extend their most heartfelt "thanks" to all the staff at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, who so gently and lovingly cared for Beverly.
