Carlos Magpusao

b. January 19, 1924

Carlos was a Phillippine Scout in WW2 when the Japanese invaded the Phillipines. He was granted U.S. citizenship after WWII when he joined the United States Army. He was first stationed in Hawaii and then Alaska in 1957. He served in the Army for 12 years and attained the rank of Sergeant First Class. In 1958 he was transferred to Salinas and began his civil service career as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Fort Ord. He retired in 1985 from his job after 26 years of dedicated service. He was fundamental in bull dozing the original fire breaks throughout the Fort Ord base as well as the upkeep and maintenance of the roads and buildings at Fort Ord. Carlos was a dedicated parishioner of Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church. He was a loving, loyal and devoted husband and father to all of his children and extended family. He will be dearly missed by everyone. He is survived by Wife of 65 years Pauline Magpusao sons George (Loly) Magpusao of Paradise John (Ophelia) Magpusao of Salinas Paul (Jo Ann) Magpusao of Salinas Allan (Vangie) Magpusao of Escondido daughter Barbara (Lance) Outland of Pine Grove 14 grandchildren Shannon Michael Nicole Frankie Jaycee Jay Jay Jasmine Janine Sophia Angela Jessica Mina Ohi Beverly 11 Great-Grandchildren Alexandria Nathan Brayden Kylie Nicholas Andrienne Roselyn Gracelyn Amaya Tyler Melanie along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family Preceded by both parents and several brothers and sisters
