Charles "Bud" Fischer
March 26, 1936 — September 6, 2018
Charles Buddy Fischer, known to all as "Bud", passed away on Sept. 6, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
Bud was born in San Diego, CA on March 26, 1936 to parents Evalyne (Garrett) Fischer and Chester Burt Fischer. He grew up in San Diego and as a young man served as a Naval Reservist. He was a founding member of the San Diego Road Knights Car Club. In 1962 he moved to Marina, CA and has been a resident of Monterey County for 56 years.
Bud was an outstanding craftsman and after moving to Marina started his own business, Fischer Construction, Inc. He mentored many young men who went on to start their own successful construction businesses and who remained his good friends throughout his life. He was an avid hunter, taught all his kids and many grandkids to fish and enjoyed camping. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who found so much joy in spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Janet, children Cindy Camacho (Frank), Tammy Enriquez (Richard) Charles Buddy Fischer II, AKA Butch (RoseAnne), Yolanda Busby (Wayne) and cousins Gary Marrokal and Lynda Marrokal. He has a large extended family including 4 stepchildren (Pamela Arthur, Betsy Bathrick, Joe Kraynak and Scott Phillips), 25 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 12 noon at Vince Dimaggio Park, 3200 Del Monte Blvd., in Marina.
