Inez Guerra

Inez Guerra, 95 passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 21, 2026, in Salinas, California.

Born on July 31, 1930, in Salinas, California, Inez spent her life in the community she loved and called home. Throughout her working years, Inez was employed as a supervisor with Jim Ingles and Spreckels.

Inez was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose kindness and faith touched countless lives. She had a profound love for God and lived her faith through service to others. She was always willing to help those in need and uplift those around her. Known for her daily words of encouragement and heartfelt compliments, she brought joy and comfort to many. She was a true prayer warrior whose presence will be deeply missed.

One of her greatest joys was tending to her beautiful rose gardens. Her dedication and care were evident in every bloom, and many of her cherished rose bushes continue to flourish today.

She also expressed her love through cooking, especially during the holidays. Family and friends looked forward to her tradition of making dozens of tamales for New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Above all, Inez was a positive role model for her family. She is survived by her son, Benny (Renee) Guerra; her daughter, Leticia (John) Alldrin; another daughter; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Maria “Vickie” Guerra.

Private family services were held in her honor. Inez was laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
