Jesus Aguayo
February 11, 1944 — June 6, 2013
Jesus Aguayo,Sr., 69, of Salinas, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family after an 11 month battle with brain cancer. He was born February 11, 1944, in Juchipila, Zacatecas, Mexico and grew up in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Jesus was a longtime resident of Salinas and worked in agriculture for the past 37 years. He will be remembered for his love of family and friends, work ethic, generosity, and great sense of humor.
Since the late 1970's, Jesus had been an active member of the Club Necaxa Soccer Team serving as a player, manager, and dedicated supporter. He was an avid soccer fan and a lifelong FANATIC of the Chivas de Guadalajara Soccer Team, in addition to being a loyal San Francisco Giants and Forty-Niners fan.
Jesus is survived by
his wife of 39 years, Guadalupe Aguayo of Salinas
daughters,
Alicia (Ociel) Mendoza of Soledad
Marilu Aguayo (Alain Rodriguez) of Salinas
son, Jesus Aguayo, Jr. of Salinas
grandchildren,
Michael, Nicholas, Andrea, Roberto,
Desiree, Jason, Shaymus, and Anabelle
sister, Eve Trevino of Edcouch, Texas
brothers, Adolfo (Victoria) Aguayo of McAllen, Texas
Eduardo Aguayo of Holtville, CA
and Raul (Sara) Gallo of Othello, Washington
along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Aguayo and Maria Gallo,and his cousin, Isaias Ruiz Aguayo.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 1 to 5 p.m. with a Rosary vigil at 7pm all at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA 93905.
A Celebration Mass will take place Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 1:30pm., at Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church 320 E. Laurel Dr. Salinas, CA 93906.
Burial to follow services at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA 93907.
