Johnny Camel

Johnny Camel, Sr., 67, son of the late John and Luveria Camel, passed away on October 30, 2014 at his home in Salinas. He was born on November 8, 1946 in Salinas. Johnny previously worked as a cook for over 10 years. Johnny is survived by his wife, Natalie Camel his children, Johnny (Denise) Camel, Jr. Danny Camel Lynette (Rodney) Boyd Johnny (Diana) Camel, III Darnell (Rhonda) Camel Tanisha Camel and John L. (Tasha) Camel step-children, Natasha (Anthony) Thomas, Sherrita Anderson and Levar Lawrence 32 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren brothers, James "Jimmy" Camel, David (Ann) Camel, Clifton (Ninfa) Camel, and William (Anne) Camel. sisters, Betty Robinson, Ann (Curtis) Johnson, Margaret Moore, Susie (Walter) Purnell, Priscilla White, Aggie (B.J.) Camel, Mozell (Tommy) Hill, Sandra Edwards and Sharon (Wilford) Jacobs along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, mother-in-law and other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Luveria Camel, stepson, Andre James Freeman, twin children, Sammy Lee and Sammy Dee Camel and brother, John Camel, Jr., sisters, Margo Camel, Pearla Mae Matthews, Jeanette "Peggy" Jasper and 3 aunts. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 1-9pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Services to take place on Friday, November 14, 2014 11am the Northminster Presbyterian Church 315 E. Alvin Dr. Salinas, CA 93906. Cremation to follow services.
