Mark David Parsons
May 17, 1960 — January 12, 2025
Mark David Parsons passed away January 12, 2025, at the age of 64. He was born in Manhattan, Kansas, moved to Monterey, CA as a teenager and made it his home. Mark was a dedicated business owner serving the Monterey Peninsula. His work was marked by his integrity and commitment to excellence, earning him the respect and trust of those he worked with and served. Outside of his professional life, Mark found joy in his family, fishing, traveling and camping—activities that reflected his love for nature and adventure.
Mark will be remembered for his kindness, his smile and contagious laugh that reflected in those blue eyes that could brighten any room.
Mark is survived by his children Carissa, Mark, Ashley (Will), and Annie; his ex-wife turned best friend, Nichole; his brothers Rick and Doug; his grandchildren Cassandra, Bart III, and Joseph; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Duayne Parsons, mother Deloris Gilbert, brother Randy Parsons and sister Lori Anne Parsons.
Mark’s life was a testament to hard work and overcoming odds. May his memory live on in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him.
To honor the life of Mark Parsons, a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025, 1:00-3: 00 at the American Legion, Post 41 located at 1110 Veterans Drive, Monterey, CA 9390. Details to follow for services in Kansas and Nebraska.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to the American Lung Association or the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
