Robbie Lee Laughlin, 79, longtime resident of Salinas and San Miguel, California, passed away suddenly at her home on Tuesday, February 4, 2014.
She was born on March 22, 1934 in Rayville, Louisiana.
Robbie moved to Salinas, CA in her youth and attended Salinas High School, where she graduated. She retired from the USDA in Salinas, as a Program Administrator helping farmers, which is where she met her husband, Robert Laughlin. She resided for 20 years with Robert on the Oak Creek Apple Ranch in San Miguel, CA.
Robbie was full of life, love, and laughter. She enjoyed reading, gardening, quilting, water aerobics, playing bunco with her friends, and spending as much time as possible with her family. Her legacy of love and loyalty will be treasured forever.
Robbie is survived by her husband, Robert Laughlin and 3 children and 1 stepson; Rhonda Albertoni of Salinas, Robert Haase of Reno, NV, Sandie Fowler of Salinas and Don Voshall of Kuna, ID. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grand children; her brother, Morris Jones and sister, Sarah McClelland.
She is preceded in death by her first born son, Stewart Rogers; her parents, Robert Jones and Sarah Smith and her sister, Ruthie Miller.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014 1-9pm at the Healey Mortuary Chapel 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905.
Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, February 11, 2014
1pm at the Healey Mortuary Chapel.
Burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.
Following the burial a gathering for family and friends will be held at Casa Sorrento Pizzeria 393 Salinas St, Salinas, CA 93901.
