Our Beloved Queen Has Gained Her Wings

With profound sorrow and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life and legacy of Antoinette “Toni” Jones (Benjamin), who entered into eternal rest on June 6, 2026. A memorial service will be planned for a later date.

Born on December 18, 1963, in Bridgeton, New Jersey, Toni was the beloved daughter of Anthony Benjamin Sr. and Pauline “Mousie” Benjamin (Williams). She was also blessed with the love and support of her bonus mothers, Linda Walker and Darlene Bonds. Toni was a woman of unwavering faith, boundless compassion, and extraordinary strength. Throughout her life, she embodied grace, kindness, and selflessness, touching countless lives with her warm spirit and generous heart.

Toni was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend. She found her greatest joy in caring for others and never hesitated to offer love, encouragement, and support to those around her. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and light wherever she went.

A faithful servant of God, Toni dedicated her life to Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. Her faith was the foundation upon which she built her life and guided every decision she made. She lived her testimony daily through acts of kindness, humility, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

Above all else, Toni cherished her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world and the source of her greatest pride and joy. She poured her heart into nurturing them, celebrating their accomplishments, and surrounding them with unconditional love.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving parents, Anthony Benjamin Sr. and Pauline “Mousie” Benjamin (Williams); her beloved bonus mothers, Linda Walker and Darlene Bonds; her brother, Anthony Benjamin Jr.; her sisters, Angela Mathis (Benjamin) and her husband, Ulysses Mathis III, and Shawdra Taylor and her husband, Dudley Taylor; her step-siblings, Lonika Tucker and Ladell Newsome; her four devoted daughters, Shakia Hicks (Benjamin) and her fiancé, Leonard Stanley; Sheena Jones; Shavon Jones; and Shatara Jones-Blye and her husband, Cayvon Blye.

She also leaves behind eleven beloved grandchildren: Keyon King, Jeremiah Jones, Justin Hicks, Ka’Leyah Jones, Cameron Hicks, Nina-Symone Durham, Raegan Blake, Nevaeh Jones, Kaiden Jones, Nyles Jones, and Z’niyah Jones; two cherished great-grandchildren, Za’ryah-Jade Jones and Zaire Jones; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and dear friends.

To know Toni was truly to love her. Her gentle spirit, infectious smile, unwavering faith, and selfless love left a lasting imprint on every life she touched. She embodied all that is good in this world and leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, strength, and compassion.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we rejoice in knowing that she has gained her heavenly wings and now rests peacefully in the presence of her Savior. Her love will continue to guide us, her memory will forever comfort us, and her legacy will live on through the family she loved so deeply.
