Cmsgt. Michael Robinson (Usaf Ret.)

March 6, 1955 — January 6, 2026

CMSgt. Michael Robinson (USAF Ret.), 70 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.  Michael was born in Milledgeville, Georgia to the late SMSGT. John T. Robinson (Ret.) and Mary Sue Bone. 

He was also proceeded in death by his sisters: Bonnie Hughes and Susan (Don) Kersey.  He was a graduate of Warner Robins High School, class of 1973.  At the age of 19, he joined the 202d Engineering Installation Squadron, Georgia Air National Guard. Michael faithfully served over 34 years of active duty performing in the supply, logistics, and telecommunications’ career fields within the United States Air Force. 

Following military service, Michael was the owner of H2RG, a telecommunications’ company that was headquartered in Savannah, Georgia.  During this period, Michael continued his service to the nation by providing telecommunications solutions for the Department of War throughout the United States and abroad.  Upon the closure of H2RG, Michael was a government contractor and the government’s site lead for the Base Telecommunications Systems contract at Robins AFB, Georgia.  Michael loved his family, many friends and his animals.  He will be greatly missed by all.  

Michael’s memory will be cherished by his devoted wife, CMSgt. Sherill Robinson (USAF Ret.), children: Joseph (Wendy) of Warner Robins GA, Katie Parks (Andrew) of Athens, GA, Michael Homberg II (Morgan) of Morris, IL and Jennifer Homberg of San Bernardino, CA; grandchildren: Timmy Tompkins, DJ Trayner, Michael Trayner, Joseph Robinson, Dillon Homberg, Ari Parks, Anna Parks and Asa Parks, brother, Jon (Vickie) Robinson, sister, Amanda (Duane) Jones; aunts: JoAnn Smith and Cookie Brady, and former spouse, Pat Robinson. 

 A private burial with military honors will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026 at the Museum of Aviation, Century of Flight Hangar, Robins AFB, Georgia.
