Michael T. Fisher, Jr.

March 15, 1963 — May 21, 2026

On Thursday, May 21, 2026, Michael departed this life to be present with the Lord.

Michael was born on March 15, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Mayme (Henderson) Fisher and Clyde M. Fisher, Sr. He had no children. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dale McNary Jr., William (Jittuan) McNary, and Clyde Fisher Jr., as well as his niece, Jittuan McNary.

Family and friends affectionately called him “Uncle Mike.” He was known for his quick wit, warm smile, and ability to bring laughter to any situation. He was also recognized for his impeccable taste and sharp fashion sense. He treated his wardrobe as a treasured collection and always stepped out looking his best.

Mike spent his childhood in Cleveland, Ohio, where he attended school and graduated in 1981. He later lived in Chicago, Illinois; Peoria, Illinois; Lexington, Kentucky; and Warner Robins, Georgia, which became his final resting place. He dedicated more than 30 years of his life to the healthcare profession. As a Certified Personal Care Professional and Certified Nursing Assistant, he was highly skilled and frequently received referrals to provide care for several prominent individuals in the Middle Georgia area. He also devoted time to mentoring and supporting at-risk youth.

Uncle Mike was passionate about helping those in need. He opened his home to individuals seeking a path back into society and served as a primary facilitator for Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous programs.

Mike also had a deep passion for music and singing. He was a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois, where he served as Vice President of the Youth Choir. Later, he became a member of The Winning Church (CFC) in Warner Robins, Georgia, where he participated in the church choir. He joined the Macon Middle Georgia Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) and served as the Assistant Chapter Representative. Mike sang tenor and was a loyal and dedicated choir member of both GMWA and Min. Allen Banks and The Anointed Sounds of Faith, traveling throughout the country and sharing his gift of song with both choirs.

Mike leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Jacqueline Curry-Taylor (Alphouse); his nieces, Rogea Gaymon, Sheila Polk (Darin), Yvette McNary, and Michelle Bogle (Eric); and his nephews, Robert McNary, Dale McNary III, and Clyde Fisher III (Fredrica). He is also survived by his great-nieces, Alaysia Permaul, Tekylah McNary-Curry, and Simone Permaul; and his great-nephew, Tyrell McNary-Curry.

Michael’s extended family includes his close childhood friend, Tarita Mosley, whom he considered family. He also leaves behind Yvette Harris, Frankie Denmeade “Pinky,” Michelle Dominique “Shay,” LaTonia Seals, Nathaniel Clowder, and a host of other family members and friends.
