Mitchell Terome Wright

June 15, 1965 — April 9, 2026

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mitchell Terome “Mickey” Wright, age 60, who left this world on April 9, 2026, in Macon, Georgia. Born on June 15, 1965, in Macon, Georgia, Mickey was a loving son, brother, uncle, husband, papa, and friend whose life touched many.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, Gary Jackson Wright and Billie Jo Greene, and his brother, Richard Wright. He is survived by his wife, Bamalynn Wright. He was a loving stepfather to Sherrod Gillis and Brandy Gillis, and he took immense joy in his role as “Papa” to Mattie. He was also a beloved “Uncle Mickey” to Stephanie, Hayden, Billy Ray Jr., Noah, Eli, Sammy, Chayla, Kayla, Destiny, Cory, Caitlin, Westin, Scott, and Cheyenne.

He is further survived by his sisters, Cheryl Land (Clyde “Punkin”), Katrina Meredith (Timothy “Turtle”), Crystal Messer (Ed), Rachel Ussery (Chris), and Katie Wright (Izzy), and his brother, Josh Wright (Casey) Mickey shared a lifelong and unbreakable bond with his special friend, Mike Rawlins; they were inseparable and stood by each other through it all.

Mickey was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a passion for racing and loved spending time making memories with his family. He also had a lifelong love for all things Harley-Davidson.

Mickey will always be remembered for his deep love for family and friends, and for the way he showed that love every day. We will always imagine hearing him say “xxxxxx” just one more time. We could not have asked for a better brother, uncle, husband, or Papa, and he will be deeply missed every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a graveside service to be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Parkway Memorial Gardens in Warner Robins.  As we remember Mickey, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness and love for family. May he rest in peace—forever missed and forever cherished.

Please sign the online registry and leave a personal condolence for the family.
