Judge Randy E. Wynn

September 7, 1950 — May 5, 2026

Judge Randy Wynn, age 76, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, under the care of Warner Robins Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family. Randy was born in September 1950 in Macon, Georgia.

Randy was a respected, Middle Georgia attorney who dedicated his career to serving others through the practice of family law, criminal law, and bankruptcy law. In addition to his legal career, he faithfully served as judge for the cities of Marshallville, Roberta, Fort Valley, and Reynolds. Through both professions, he earned the respect of many for his fairness, wisdom, and commitment to his community.

Beyond his professional life, Randy’s greatest joy was found in coaching and investing in young people. He coached youth basketball through the City of Macon Recreation Department when his sons were young. He later coached all three of his daughters to a league championship in fast-pitch softball through the Warner Robins Recreation Department. Randy also spent many years coaching basketball, mentoring countless young athletes, including his niece, Lindsey, and many others whose lives were better because of his time, leadership, and encouragement.

Randy also shared a love for competition and camaraderie with his brother, Ronny, as the two were members of a USSSA Slow Pitch Softball World Championship team.

As a father, Randy believed in tough love, discipline, and helping his children grow strong. Yet, when grandchildren entered his life, they quickly discovered the softer side of him. He became known for making sure they always left the store with two toys after enjoying Mexican food outings as toddlers. His grandchildren brought out a tenderness and joy that became one of the sweetest chapters of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Wynn; his stepmother, Jeanette Wynn; his mother, Louise Jones Bryan; and his stepfather, Shelton Bryan.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Linda Wynn; his children, Randy Wynn Jr. (Melissa), Scott Wynn (Ashley), Carrie Luck, Sheri Self (Mickey), and Suzanne Obst; his brother, Ronny Wynn (Trisha) of Cochran, Georgia; his half-sisters, Jenny Wynn and Jerilyn Steinberg, stepbrothers Randy and Glen Wilkes; along with fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held on May 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Chapel Heartland in Fort Valley, Georgia. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 p.m.
