In Loving Memory of Shannon Danielle Lackey.

Shannon Danielle Lackey, born December 19, 1975, in Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away on June 16, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout her illness, Shannon demonstrated remarkable strength, determination, and resilience, maintaining her fighting spirit until the very end.

Shannon was preceded in death by her mother, Cheryl Crozier; her father, Terry Peavy; her sister, Hunter Peavy; and her beloved grandson, Mason Peavy.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Steve Lackey; her daughter, Taylor Sabaski, and son-in-law, Cody Sabaski; her stepson, Steve Lackey Jr., and his wife, Savanna Lackey; her treasured grandchildren, Brantley Sabaski and Wyatt Sabaski; her stepfather, Ronnie Crozier; her stepmother, Billie Peavy; her sisters, Casey Crozier and Erica Peavy Getrum; her nieces, Veronnica Crozier and Lillyann Crozier; as well as many extended family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives she touched throughout the years.

A graduate of Peach County High School, Shannon continued her education at Moultrie Technical College, where she earned her EMT certification. She proudly served her community as a first responder, dedicating herself to helping others during times of need. Though her career path would later lead her to pursue other passions, the compassion and commitment she demonstrated in service to others remained a defining part of who she was and touched countless lives. Shannon lived life with enthusiasm, determination, and a sense of adventure. 

She loved all things Disney, enjoyed crafting and creative projects, adored children, and had a special passion for animals. Known for her energetic spirit, Shannon approached every aspect of life full steam ahead. She was always on the go, embracing each day with purpose and a zest for life that inspired those around her. 

More than anything, Shannon will be remembered for her strength, her love for family, her caring heart, and her unwavering determination. Even during her long battle with cancer, she faced each challenge with courage and perseverance, leaving an enduring example of resilience for all who knew her.

Though she is no longer with us in body, Shannon's spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the countless memories she created, the love she freely gave, and the many lives she touched along the way. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

A celebration of Shannon's life will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home 701 Carl Vinson Parkway Warner Robins, GA.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a woman whose strength, compassion, and love left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
