Trudie Dorothy Powell

Valdosta, GA- Trudie Dorothy Powell, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 12, 2017. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, February 16, 2017 in Montrose, GA where Trudie will be laid to rest at Montrose Cemetery. Mrs. Powell was born in Montrose, Georgia to the late William and Odessa Powell. She retired after 30 years of civil service at Robins AFB. Trudie was a member of Bay Spring Primitive Baptist church and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her brothers Ralph Powell, Roy Powell, Marvin Powell, C.C. Powell, Carl Powell, and Ferrell Powell; sisters, Alma Powell, Sybil Thomas, and Gladys Powell. Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving daughter, Terry Lewis (Danny) of Valdosta; grandson, Daniel Lewis of Marietta; granddaughter, Heather Lewis of Valdosta; two brothers, Otis Powell and Ernest Powell of Montrose; and four great grandchildren.
