George Benyola, Sr., 89, of Summerfield, Fl, passed away peacefully on June 11th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 10, 1936, to parents Josephine and Anthony Benyola, in Hopelawn, New Jersey, he will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his generous spirit, his sense of humor and the many lives he touched throughout his lifetime. He was committed to his faith and loved his family. He served as a minister and an evangelist for The Church of Jesus Christ for over 50 years. He proudly served in the United Sates Army from 1957-1959. He was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska where he was ranked as Special Private in the Combat Engineer division. Throughout his time in the Army, he made lifelong friendships that he cherished.
In 1959, George met his loving wife Stella Rose Arcuri and it was love at first sight. They were married on December 3, 1960 and they created a beautiful life together.
After the Army, he pursued a career in the computer design business, which led him to working many years as a Hardware Design Planner at Electronic Data Systems from which he retired in 1996.
George loved to travel. He and his wife Stella, of 64 years, loved to take the RV to different cities across the country to visit their family. They also had the opportunity to travel to many places like Hawaii, Italy and Alaska. They made a lifetime of memories together.
He is survived by his wife, Stella, children: Anthony and his wife Sherry, George Jr. and his wife Christina, and Janice and her husband David; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
George leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and dedication to those he loved. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
