Joseph H. Tucker Jr.

Joseph H. Tucker, 88 of Ocala, Florida passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.  Born on November 21, 1936, Joe dedicated his life to service, both in the military and in his community.

Joe graduated from Louisiana Tech where he was in the ROTC.  After graduation he joined the Air Force.  Jo0e proudly served in the Air Force from 1960 to 1975, achieving the rank of Captain.  His military career took him to various parts of the world, including a tour in Okinawa where he earned numerous commendations for his bravery and leadership while piloting a Hercules C-130 to support the Vietnam war effort.  His commitment to his country was unwavering and he was a source of inspiration to all who knew him.

Joe is survived by his wife of 59 years, Susan, his children, Steven Randall Tucker, Lisa Hargraves, Sherry Grove-Brooks and, Joseph Michael Tucker, Sr.; his grandchildren, Tina Osborn, Brooke Madden, Joseph M. Tucker, Jr., Elisa Evans, Elizabeth Ruger, Cortnie Grove, Brake Brooks and Justin Hargraves; and his brother Larry Martin.
